RoBoat V2

RoBoat V2 is a current work in progress. New electronics including the Cubepilot Orange, Here 3 gps, Rfd900x are currently being tested. Prototype collapsible pontoons are being designed and 3d printed prototypes are being printed. Progress can be tracked on the TODO tab.

Pontoon Redesign

To make the Pontoon portable in a standard large hard-shell suitcase, the pontoon piece could only be a max length of 26 inches. To solve this problem the initial V1 pontoon was cut into 3 sections and reduced in length by 6 inches. The nose cone now removes from the main pontoon body and the body is joined together with a locking connector piece. The new pontoon weights 1lb more then the initial and is smaller so buoyancy tests will be needed to verify this design.
